Interoffice FU e-mail

So its tradition for people that make the very wise and sane decision to leave this sorry ass place some people call work and I call HELL, to send an interoffice email saying thank yous for the amazing time they had here and all the bullshit they learned in the process. Oh… and the experiences! Ooooooh the JOYFUL experiences!

So I tell one of the very few co-workers I speak to the following:

“Do not expect one of those gay emails people that quit this firm, send”

Five minutes later she e-mails this to me…

You just gotta love this chick! LOL!!!!!!

WTF?!?!?!

Imagine waking up and peeking out the window and seeing this:

Now, imagine knowing you have to actually go to work on a day like this.

That, my dear friends, is my reality.

There is nothing worse than waking up to this and having to walk under this hellish snow.

Im wearing a wifebeater, a sweater, a fleece jacket, a bubble coat, pants, leg warmers, 2 pairs of socks, scarf, ear warmers, winter hat, gloves, snow boots, and I'M STILL FUCKING COLD!!!

It does make for pretty pictures. No, that's not me. This is another misserable soul that had to venture out to go to work... Same as me.

On days like this... I hate my life!

Fueled by fear

Like any regular Wednesday, my alarm clock goes off at 8 a.m. Then my battery alarm clock goes off at 8:10 a.m. Then my phone alarm goes off at 8:15 am and now I know I HAVE to wake up and start my day.

Sigh. It's freezing outside, of course. I hate my life.

I arrive to work. Turn on my computer. Log in to Twatter, Lamebook, Yapoo (total rutine), then open up Endi.com to read about how many dead people were found in the gutter or how much money puertorrican senators make (which btw its OBSCENE and utterly GROSS).

Around 10:30 a.m., we get an announcement from the building's security office letting us know that there's a suspicious van parked outside the building and that everybody that has an office facing Broadway Avenue should move towards the offices facing 7th Avenue.

I roll my eyes. Browse around the web some more.

A few minutes pass and we get yet another announcement stating the same thing but adding that they have not been offered any more information. NOW people are panicking. People are walking around the office disoriented... nervous. Nobody knows what to do. The office manager tells everybody to stay in their offices like usual. People are just not about to listen. During these times when America is TOLD to be aware of their surroundings cause there's TERROR lurking in the corners (left AND right), all you need is that ONE person to panic to set that chain reaction in motion.

Aaaaand you better believe it... It happened.

I intended to stay in the office and blog for a bit, but then one of my co-workers pulled me by my hand, winked at me and said "lets get outta here... I'll buy you a coffee". No need to twist my hand to get out of that fucking hell I have to go to every hellish weekday.

Two other co-workers joined our "coffee" group. What a MESS they were! Eyes wide open, a lil shaky, stuttering and faces all flushed. I mean... seriously?

Pardon me, but if there was in fact a terrorist attack in any part of this world, we we would all know by the big "BOOM" the "message" would leave. Terrorists are SMART! And add to that the fact that the media pretty much tells them what they should avoid if they in fact wanna kill a couple hundred people... or crash a plane. They KNOW what they are doing and they don't hesitate. They dive in and kill themselves in the process. They don't do fucking "Hollywood" high tech remote control activator devices bullshit. They go in and get their "job" done.

A parked car is a PRANK! Someone obviously was too damn bored and thought... "Hey, let me steal a van, put some trash inside it and park it right smack in the middle of Times Square and see what happens."Yep... That's where I work...

I wonder if whoever did it was outside laughing and peeing on him or her own self! It was a COLD day so I suppose a lil warm pee can't be so bad.
All in all, I think the whole thing was super ridiculous, but I'm glad it happened cause our superiors at work, sent all of us home.

I was home by 1pm!!!

And THAT, my friends... Its PURE heaven!

Chill out!

OMG how I LOVE MTV's new show "Jersey Shore"!!! This show is PURE comedy from beginning to end.

I was just reading some stuff about the show and how "top notch" Italian-Americans are oh-so-offended (go figure!) because these fools (the "Jersey Shore" cast members) give a bad name to Jersians.

And here I thought we were watching as show about the retards that rent summer houses down by the shore. Since when the Jersey shore is Jersian exclusive? As far as I know, there's only one cast member who's actually from Jersey.

Some say this show is not representative of New Jersey. My question is, did MTV ever claim that the show was about Jersey people at the shore?

I live in New Jersey and been to "The Shore" three times, and all those three times I saw people like this, THERE. So, yes... in my opinion, the show is actually representative of WHAT HAPPENS at "The Shore", NOT of the people that reside in the State of New Jersey. I can't be paid enough to go to that meathead infested area of New Jersey, but this show sure is SUPER FUN to watch!

Here's the kicker... Most of the cast members are from... wait for it... NEW YORK!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks MTV, for showing us America's future!

KUDOS!!!

I HATE New York

Quote taken from a YouTube comment:
"One day NY will be swallowed by the Ocean and it will become a reef. That would make some great scuba diving. "

North American cities I’ve visited? I have been to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa, Orlando, Boca Raton, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal (I DID say NORTH American cities), and last but not least... Manhattan.

Maybe I should say I hate Manhattan... Downtown, Uptown but ESPECIALLY Midtown. I LOVE upstate New York but Manhattan, my dear friends, is where I spend most of my waking hours, so Manhattan is pretty much where I “live” (even though my bed is in New Jersey). So… for this blog entry purpose, when I say New York, I mean NYC.

I am so SICK AND TIRED of those people that DON’T live in NYC or work in NYC that say “I love New York”. Yeah, well… It’s pretty darn easy to love a city when you don’t live there. You can't possibly experience the REALITY of a city by just visiting once a year (or once in a lifetime). If you’re just a visitor, of course you’re gonna love it! You’re not working, so you get to bum around all damn day, go to Broadway shows, stroll around without a care in the world, take in the lights, the movement, you see all these restaurants around, street performers, underground hip bars, subways... All this shit makes you feel “cool” when you don’t have it in your daily life. Think deep tho… If you are just visiting, you are in no position to say you LOVE NEW YORK. You don’t know what New York is.

I remember the first time I came to NYC on vacation. I remember how I couldn't shut up about how I LOVED it here! Then again, I had no fucking clue what the fuck I was talking about. Visiting is NOT the same as living in this dump! I had a friend once who kept saying over and over and over again that New York was one of her favorite cities. That she LOVED it. She felt strongly about that love. Still, when she came to visit, she wouldn’t get near the subway. How the FUCK can you LOVE New York and not want to take the subway? The subway tunnels are like the fucking VEINS of NYC! After drilling a bit, you know what I found out? She just loved the Broadway shows and the museums cause that’s all she knew about NYC. I simply rolled my eyes. This is why most tourists (or people from UPSTATE NY love Manhattan. They just don’t have a fucking clue!

I have a friend who lives in Queens. She’s the SWEETEST person on EARTH I’ve ever met! I swear to the heavens that up until now, I have NEVER meet such a nice person. One morning I Tweet “I hate New York”, and after a few back and forth Tweets, she tells me this: “I remember once I was in the city, I slipped and fell (raining day) and everyone just kept walking past me and on top of me...”

One time I was waiting in line at a clothing store to pay for a couple of work shirts. This costumer was backing up the line since she was trying to argue (in Spanish – the Cashier was American) a return she wanted to make. Since I know both languages, I decided to help and translate for them both. It took us all a total of 43 minutes to get everything resolved. In the mentality of a newyorker, I lost 43 PRECIOUS minutes of my life. And guess what? I didn’t even get a “Thanks”. Not from the Cashier, not from the Costumer, not from the Manager. Not in English, not in Spanish.

The sadness of it all, is that I have become one of them. Survival of the fittest. One either adapts or gets pushed to the floor and walked over. I no longer hold the door open for people. I no longer say good morning or thank you. I no longer say bless you when strangers sneeze. I no longer take the time to give people directions. Most of the times I hesitate before helping someone. This saddens me, but it is the truth.

Not so long ago I read an article that excused newyorkers by saying that newyorkers are not rude, they just speak their minds. Believe me, I am ALL about speaking your mind, but when you bump onto someone cause you’re in such a rush (maybe you should have left a lil early, that way you wouldn’t be running late?) and you don’t say “sorry”… THAT’S RUDE. When someone holds a door open for a stranger to walk in and that stranger doesn’t say “thanks”… THAT’S RUDE. When someone trips and falls and no one goes to her help and people just keep walking without a care in the world… THAT’S RUDE. I’ve heard newyorkers say that they are determined, and assertive people, but that doesn’t give them the right to be total ASSHOLES.

So besides the ASSHOLES that live and hang in NYC what else is wrong with it you ask? Well, let me clue you in...

Lets talk a bit about "status" shall we? In NYC if you’re from Jersey its looked down upon. If you’re from Uptown, you got dough, if you’re from Downtown, you must be artsy, and forget about these two worlds mixing up. No idea what being from the Westside or Eastside means, nor I care a flying fuck to know. One thing I have noticed over the years here is that "what you do, is what makes you", and "who you know, will take you places". It is a very selfish city... Everybody's out for themselves and trying to find who they can meet to advance themselves in the "game." What you do for a living will earn you acquaintances (not to be confused with the word "friends" which gets tossed out there often). Tell them you’re a secretary, and you’re at the bottom of the barrel. Tell them you’re a legal assistant, they look at you in a different light. Tell them you’re an attorney and the world is your playground.

There’s WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE IN THIS DAMN CITY! Everybody is up in your damn space. Imagine crowded elevators, crowded buses, crowded subways, crowded crosswalks/streets, crowded coffee places... They cough on you, they sneeze on you, you have to smell their stench, their farts, walk all over their garbage. Yes, cause where there's people, there’s garbage and NYC is fucking FULL of them both

Oooooh and it wouldnt be NYC if it didn't have its long time friends lurking around.... Like garbage, where there’s masses of people, stupidity reigns... people waving their hands while talking on the sidewalk, the same sidewalk people are trying to walk on to get to their destination. Diagonal walkers when most of us are trying to walk straight... I just want to kick them every time I encounter them which is pretty much every damn day! People that walk forward while looking up, or to their right, or their left, or even looking back! How come you haven’t been hit by a bus yet??? Please DO!!!! ....

NYC IS WAY TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE! Everything is expensive! The rent, the clothes, the food, museums (if you don’t know your way around THAT), Broadway shows, even fucking bottled water is expensive here. Who wants to pay $5 for a bottle of water? CERTAINLY NOT ME! Taxis charge you to basically open their car door... subways fares keep going up.

Even the damn weather sucks here! We get like 2 to 3 weeks of perfect weather and it’s not all in a row! Yeah... I know what you all "I love the snow" people are thinking. I love it too! I love ONLY the first time that snows and ONLY if it snows on a Friday night or a Saturday. Nobody... and I can assure you this is true... NOBODY wants to commute in the snow. Tell me I'm wrong so I can beat some sense into you!

Snow is ONLY white when its falling from the sky.

Most people I’ve encountered in this city are inconsiderate, selfish, disrespectful, out for blood, cutthroat, ruthless, sneaky, lying sons of bitches. Truth of the matter is that there are 8+ million people in NYC and you are bound to find every personality type imaginable here, and I am by no means saying that ALL newyorkers are rude, but I can certainly vouch for the people I encounter every fucking day in this damned city.

I can’t fucking wait to get out of here. My world will definitely be a better place.

I leave you now with two videos. The first one is an EXCELLENT monologue scene from a NYC movie called "25th Hour". The second one is a very funny lady that almost made me pee my pants cause I just couldn't stop laughing. Enjoy!

Are newyorkers THAT stupid?

It's always funny to to places and see stupid dumb shit. It's even greater when you have the time to pull out your phone and take a picture of whatever it is that caught your interest.

Well... I'm always complaining about how I'm always surrounded by MORONS and today, I FOUND proof (and I wasn't even looking for it! lol)

Ain't it sad that this Subway felt the NEED to put up a sign like this?

Eat Fresh!

Death & Co.

I was looking for a place where my friends and I could get together to celebrate a very well deserved Happy Hour, two birthdays, a promotion and a long overdue departure. I saw it fitting to have that celebration in one of the locations Mr. Asshole was allegedly seen while his stay in NYC. Don’t know who Mr. Asshole is? Oh… Well… I can help you with that!

Moving on now…

Death & Co. could be difficult to find but it shouldn’t be a problem if you know what you’re looking for. Inside, the bar/lounge is dark, yet inviting. While waiting for my friends to arrive, I had a drink at the bar. I’m a simple girl with simple tastes, so I just ordered a screwdriver with a splash of cranberry juice. *SCREECHING TIRE SOUND HERE!*
They don’t serve cranberry juice??? Good Lorrrrd! They have a mighty good reason for it tho, they only serve drinks with freshly squeezed fruits (and whatnots). Cool!!! I can deal with that. So I had my screwdriver with a splash of pineapple juice instead.

Best.Screwdriver.I’ve.Ever.Had!

My friends started arriving so we moved to one of their tables. At Death & Co. you won’t be allowed to have a table unless you’re in a party of 3 or more. They have a wide variety of… interesting cocktails (with interesting names). The bartender seemed to take pride on their drink conjunctions. Anywhos… me being a Twilight fan and all… LOOK AT WHAT I FOUND ON THEIR MENU!
I cannot make this shit up! Lol.

So we all had drinks, sang happy birthday, blew candles, had some bites, ate delicious cup-cakes from Crumbs, exchanged stories, pictures, movies (don’t worry, as long as I know what I’m talking about, nothing else matters, lol).
All in all, Death & Co was the perfect place to catch up with my friends, have some drinks, a few laughs and a hellofa gud time.

If you end up visiting, you won't regret it. Camera flash is NOT allowed, so if you wanna take pictures, you better have night vision or a good ISO on your camera. The waitress came to us and told us (very politely) “no flash”, and we happily complied. They have a “first come first served” policy, and standing is NOT allowed, so if the place is full, tough noogies! Sit by the bar!!! I can think of two good reasons why to do so. First, drinks are cheaper! and second, you’ll get to see how these crazy drinks are made. Death & Co. doesn’t serve full meals, but they do serve “fancy” appetizers (or tapas) which they call "bites". Some are a bit pricey but you can certainly have a bite for under $10. Staff was VERY accommodating. Cons? I didn’t find any with neither the establishment nor the staff, but I wasn’t too crazy about its location... its right across from the projects!

I’d go back to Death & Co. in a heartbeat!

Posts going postal

WARNING!!! SOME EXPLICIT LANGUAGE BELOW!!

What has the webworld come down to!

Ok, so I'll admit it! I have been following this one website (which name I will NOT disclose), to keep myself updated and be in the "in" regarding Robbie's whereabouts while filming "Remember Me". I have come to the low point where I refer to myself as an Rpattz stalker. A title that I have very well earned since I have barely stopped going to set since this whole crazy frenzy started. There! I said it! Now find me and handcuff me! This one right here double dare ya! Hahaha.

Aaaanywhos... Today this no-name website was pretty darn "exciting". As most of the visitors there knew, "Remember Me" filmimg has been moved to some studio in NY (boohoo for us), but some one (or a couple of someones) had the "amazing" idea to post false statements (and therefore false hopes)about the movie being filmed in Midtown Manhattan.

And then confusion started! Some girls actually went to Midtown with the hopes of seeing Mr. Sparkly, while others might have just hauled it there to see the famous "PAs"... Whatever tikles your fancy.

Either way, chaos broke loose and people got mad, while others were cracking up. I'll admit I was laughing my ass off from the first post all the way to the last one! How do these people come up with this stuff?!?!

I know I might be the only one reading this blog (since I'm the writer, lol) but for my imaginary readers, I took it upon myself to take a few pictures of these posts and post them here. I just didnt think it fair for me to be the only one to have a laugh, ya know? Hehe. Click on the picture so you can have a better view.

So here ya'll go! Have a laugh and enjoy! ;-)

*EDIT*

I wrote this blog last night and I was really tired so I didn’t even get to the point of it. Which is… Why do people have to see a good thing and turn it into shit. Don’t get me wrong, I love pranks! They make life better (for one of the sides anyways, lol), but, I think that this one got a bit out of hand. To place false hope onto others just to have a good time is not cool. If you’re that bored, why don’t you just grab a book! Make a blog! Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while! Go to a museum! Do something productive or fun with your friends!

My concern now is that because of this, any other true “clues” of Robert’s or whoever’s whereabouts will be filled with doubt and suspicion as we wont know if it’s a prank or if it’s the real deal. Like always, it only takes one to fuck it up for everybody else.

Shame on you ladies… Shame. On. You!
